Rules concerning players switching in and out of the league:

    A few notes...

-Scoring system can be found when you join the league. This is a POINTS H2H league. Please understand this before you join. Not roto, not category h2h, points h2h. Because it's points h2h, that also means it's a weekly lineup league. Set your lineup by Sunday night, lineup is locked until the next scoring period. If you forget to set your lineup, you are screwed for the week. There is no way around this. Blame yahoo.

-This is a no trade veto league. You have trade freedom. Have at it. In the rare case of collusion, if determined by the commissioner, you will be removed and banned from future VSN leagues. No whining about shitty trades. We will not police stupidity. This is a (practically) free league. It's not that serious. Have fun and relax.

-This is an AL only league. So what happens when interleague trades happen in real life? Good question. Here is how Yahoo handles it:

If a player in the National League is traded to the American League (or vice versa), the team that has the player in a league (using National League players only) will no longer accrue stats for that player. Stats for players who switch leagues will display until those players are removed from their teams. These stats will be removed during our nightly update and will not count for team scoring.

If a player is removed from the team, that player will no longer be available to the league.

Additionally, any player who is traded between leagues will be introduced to AL-only or NL-only leagues via waivers.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to customize an AL or NL-only league to allow managers to continue earning stats if a player is traded out of the appropriate league.
Here is how WE will handle it:

*If one of your players is traded, you have first crack at the player(s) he was traded for. You can claim them before the end of the transaction period. If you don't claim them, they will go into the free agent pool and go through waivers like any other free agent player.

*If a new player is traded into the league in a trade not involving a player on a league roster, that player will go into the free agent pool and can be claimed via waiver like any other free agent. This works the same way for all players who switch from NL to AL (free agents, waiver claims, etc).

*If there is a multi player trade involving players on multiple rosters, the team with the worse record gets the first claim on the traded players entering the league. For example, lets say I own Drew Stubbs, and MVPete owns Michael Brantley. Let's say Stubbs & Brantley are traded to the Mets for Lucas Duda & John Buck. Pete is in 3rd place, I am in 8th place. That means I have first pick between Duda & Buck. I can choose one player, or decline. Then Pete picks. He can claim one, both, or neither. Any remaining players go into the free agent pool. If three teams are involved, it works the same way, and so on.

*If your player is traded away for a PTBNL (player to be named later), you receive nothing in return. PTBNL trades sometimes take months to finalize. We won't be tracking this.

*If your player is waived and claimed by a team in the NL, again, you receive nothing in return.

I can promise you, at some point, somebody will get screwed out of a good player due to an interleague trade. Sorry about your luck. Nothing we can do about it. It's part of the challenge of managing a league specific league.

When we get 12 teams, i'll let you guys know. I don't want to go through the hassle of sending everybody their money back.

In if possible. I understand I haven't been around here too often but I'm entering the second year of my $150/team 16 team keeper league and I am absolutely enthralled in it. Being an expansion team in a 16 teamer I have a great knowledge of AL waiver wire guys. By the end of last year I had two Seattle pitchers named Erasmo and Hisashi on my squad. This year my cheap draft targets consist of Porcello, Alexi Ogando, and Nick Trepesch, bums.

And I will not let you guys down by not staying active, have too much respect for you all.
