Olney was talking about Verlander I believe while Will Carroll is saying a trade is in the works.

Just a wild guess here, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's a guy who is out of options and won't make his current team.

Paul Maholm is the #2 starter for the Braves?

If you take away his starts against bottom 7 offenses in MLB (arbitrary but Idgaf) his 2012 ERA balloons to 5.73.

Good thing he is only facing the Phillies then.

Trade probably including some or all of Harang, Lilly, Capuano.

Anyone got a RH hitting 4th OFer? Or maybe a 3B, SS, and/or righty bench bat who can play 1B once in a blue moon?

It sounds like the Brewers have exactly what you are looking for!

I thought the exact same thing before even seeing this post.

                        I'd rather keep Juan Uribe.

Drafted in the supplemental 1st round in 1999 as a 17-year-old high school kid (Baltimore used the pick they received from Texas for losing Palmeiro).

14 seasons, 480 appearances in the minors, stints in the independent league and flexor tendon surgery.

At 31-years-old, lefty reliever Scott Rice breaks camp in the big leagues for the first time with the Mets.

All the organizations he's been with: Orioles, Rangers, Padres, Rockies, Cubs, Dodgers, Long Island Ducks, Newark Bears, York Revolution and the Mets

Can't wait for the game tonight even though I could care less about the two teams. Ill have to miss most of my Mets game tomorrow since Ive got a baseball game at 2... but Im'a TIVO that.
