Also, I was listening to Charlie Steiner try his best to tell a Scully-esque story over the radio broadcast on Wednesday... Something about the PA speaker in Ebbett's Field. Long build up, but the story ended with "...and player X is being held out of the lineup because he don't feel too good." Then Brandon Crawford struck out again and Steiner was like "Now Crawford heads to the dugout and he don't feel too good either."

B+ for effort, D- in comparison to how flawlessly Vin does it.

My favorite moment of last nights game was Vin Scully seamlessly calling Clint Barmes at bat while describing the neighborhood he grew up in..

"I lived in an neighborhood in New York called Washington Heights, now Washington Heights used to be about 90% Jewish as it became a haven for many people escaping Adolf Hitler.. Barmes takes strike one. Now in this neighborhood, there was a giant white castle. Yes I'm serious... a CASTLE! white.. marble castle. Barmes takes strike two. Now if you go back to this neighborhood today, there are 7 giant apartment complexes and the name of them? The white castle apartments. Barmes takes ball one."

I agree. When I was stationed in Hawaii, we got West Coast games. I got to watch/listen to Dodgers games all the time.
