Yasiel Puig was benched for a "mental mistake." Whatever that means.

Also apparently Jorge Soler was ejected last night for attacking the opposing team with a bat. No video is known to exist at this time unfortunately.

Zach Wheeler did not walk a batter today, throwing 61 of his 97 pitches for strikes.

          5.1 IP, 6 H, 8 strikeouts, 3 runs

Control is essentially the only thing keeping him in the minors so hopefully this is the first step in consistency there.

Oswaldo Arcia temporary called up for the Twins OF

The Minnesota Twins plan to promote outfield prospect Oswaldo Arcia to the majors, reports Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Arcia is replacing fellow outfielder Wilkin Ramirez on the 25-man roster, but Ramirez's departure for three-day paternity leave means Arcia's stay could be short-lived.

Arcia is the Twins top hitting prospect remaining in the upper minors and debuted this season in Triple-A after splitting the 2012 season between the Florida State League (High-A) and Eastern League (Double-A). His 2013 season has gotten off to a scorching-hot start, with Arcia hitting .414/.500/.793 in his first nine games. Last year, Arica hit .320/.388/.539 between the two levels.

Michael Wacha with his second straight nice start in Memphis: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

Also on the farm, it looks like AA Springfield's Carlos Martinez will get the first crack at the closer job if Mujica/Rosenthal falters. Martinez, 21, missed all of spring training with a visa issue, but was the consensus #2 pitching prospect for St. Louis and a top 30 prospect in all of baseball before Rosenthal and Wacha broke onto the scene. It'll be interesting to see if Martinez makes the same kind of impact as Rosenthal if he gets the call.

Yasiel Puig trying to out-do Mason, was arrested on charges of speeding, reckless driving and driving without proof of insurance this morning.

The team is recalling outfielder Marcell Ozuna from Double-A Jacksonville to replace the injured Giancarlo Stanton. Ozuna will be making his MLB debut on Tuesday.

A 22-year old power-hitting right fielder, Ozuna is hitting .333 (14-for-42) with three doubles, a triple, five home runs, and 15 RBI in 10 games at Double-A Jacksonville. Ozuna was promoted from High-A to Double-A after just four games to start this season and has hit 20 plus home runs in each of the last three minor league season making him worth a flier in NL-only leagues for his power potential alone.

Nationals minor leaguer Kevin Keyes is displaying some ridiculous power this season. In the above video he shattered a light bulb in the light tower against the Carolina Mudcats. The next day against Myrtle Beach he crushed one off of their scoreboard in left center.
