Not posting this because of Cingrani. Posting to laugh at spring training phenom Jackie Bradley Jr.
Good thing he's not white or else Yawk would have already bought the shirtsey.

Braves called up 22 year old LHP Alex Wood, the team's first round pick in 2012 out of Georgia.

Pretty excited about this, a bit aggressive but we needed another live arm in the pen and he seems like he can help out immediately.

Tyrell Jenkins with his second complete game (albeit, this was a 7-inning one in the second game of a double-header) of the year. Allowed just five hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Looks like he's starting to put it together.

Julio Urias (LoA) - 5 IP, 0 runs 1 hit, 5 K's, 2 walks. The Great Lakes version of Puig has surpassed all expectations since joining the Loons in late May. After getting his feet with with a couple of 3 inning starts, Urias lasted long enough to get the win on Thursday and allowed just 1 hit in the process. Not bad for a 16 year old.
Ignoring that stupid comparison to Puig, this kid is fun to follow.

As long as the rain doesn't continue to be a pain in the ass next week, Zach Wheeler is expected to make his MLB debut next Friday against the Cubs.

Tonight would be his final start at AAA.

Well, SNYs Kevin Burkhardt (soon to be NFL on FOX PBP guy) says the Mets will NOT call Wheeler up to pitch Friday at home. Rather, he'll debut in the following series, in Atlanta.

Wheeler's from Georgia and his childhood team was the Braves, so an extra bit of adrenaline for him to deal with in about 10 days.
