But since Andrus cleared waivers, apparently not a single GM thought it was worth taking the risk of having that contract dumped on them. Is it really that bad? He's still owed 126 million, over nine years. He's easily a two win player with the defense alone, so unless you think this year is the start of a trend, and not an outlier, he's worth the money.
I would have thought that the Dodgers would have been happy to add him. Play him at short and shift Hanley back to third.Comment

He has 18 extra base hits. He's never slugged .400 & is slugging .308 right now. If it wasn't for some SB's he'd be a complete void offensively. You can find all glove no stick SS's for league minimum every offseason, and not pay them $15M until 2023. It's one of the worst contracts in baseball.Comment
