Allow the home plate umpire to ask for help from the umpire behind the pitcher if he zoned out or something, there's no other explanation for this.
Maybe he took a sleeping pill before the 9th and wanted to get home

When the offending party comes out and admits the blown call our "complaints" are validated and warranted.

Denard Robinson ... worst first pitch ever?
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

The "Big Nyquil" Jeff Niemann is due to have surgery on his shoulder. He will miss the 2013 season. Wonder who comes up. Doubt the bring up Archer or Ordorizzi to work out as long relief in the pen. Likely a AAAA player.

Our Upton, who art in 'Lanta, hallowed be thy name.
Thy at bats come, thy home runs be done,
In Washington as they are in Miami.
Give us this day our daily bombs,
And forgive us our strike outs,
as we forgive those who hit against us.
Lead us not into double plays,
                          but deliver us from errors.
For thine is the Home Run, the RBI, and the diving catch, forever.
                          In Justin's name we pray,
                          Amen.

Ryan Howard and Michael Young both went yard back to back against the Mets. I was hoping we'd be able to sweep the Phillies while they were down, but it's hard to sweep a team with that many good hitters. Rollins, Utley, Howard, Young. Four MVP type guys at the top of their lineup.

Cliff Lee dominates the Mets, too.

It's still good tho, chance to win the series tomorrow.

I'm not giving up on tonight just yet. But it's just the Mets luck that Ryan Howard returns to his MVP self against us.

Tomorrow will be tough going against another one of the Phillies aces.
