I think we can all agree that we'd like to willingly see worse players more often. What a luxury!

Yeah thank god for the AL or we wouldn't get to see Carlos Pena bat 4 times each game!

And yet his shit line is still better than 90% of the guys batting in the everyday lineup in an entire league.

I get why people like the non-DH, I really do. Just realize that you're willingly offering to see worse players (bullpen arms, subs) play more regularly because of it.

I wonder what the correlation of non-DH lovers and college basketball fans are...

Fuck yeah subs. I like versatility, athleticism and the ability to field being valuable for a club. #Strategery

Totally dude, once you replace 1 shitty hitter with a 1 above-average one in the lineup (like every other league in the world) you may as well just scrap the whole game and blow it up.

                        SLIPPERY SLOPE~!

We wouldn't get the random jubilation that is the PITCHER HOME RUN though.

Kershaw was the coolest story on opening day. CC with Milwaukee did some cool shit too. Not all pitchers suck at hitting gotta let them try. It's un-American to suggest otherwise. Everyone gets their chance to bat. You must be a communist.

Not all pitchers are bad hitters. Just like not all DHs are good, there's a lot of quad-A replacement level slop in that extra slot too.

I honestly don't understand how most pitchers can be such awful hitters. Most of these guys likely played other positions and were required to hit regularly when they were younger. Were they crap hitters back then or did they just completely forget how to swing a bat the minute they decided to step up on the mound for a living?
