    MLB Random Thoughts [4/22-4/28]

Was way too busy since the game Saturday, but I attended my first Orioles game in over a decade this past Saturday, and I know I'm going to one against the Royals in a few weeks, as my stepmother knows one of the KC coaches.

Great to be back at Camden Yards, definitely my favorite stadium of the ones I've been at for any sport.

Anthony Rendon with his first major league hit. A RBI double to the right center gap.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

        Shelby Miller with another great outing: 6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K

It's so strange to see Pete Kozma get booed at an opposing ballpark. I understand it completely, but it's still weird.

CESAR IZTURIS with a walk off hit in the 13th...after we went down by 2 runs.

Had no business winning that game committing 3 errors in Extras, then going down by 2 in the 13th. Oh well, Cubs gunna Cub

Jason Heyward just had to have emergency appendectomy surgery. Out indefinitely.

Fucking terrific. Get Freeman back, have to put another starter on the DL the very same day.

They'll probably win 16 in a row when their two best sluggers finally get back!

Joe Maddon, for the 3rd year in a row, allowed the Tampa Chamber of Commerce to set tonight's lineup against the Yankees. Just another reason why he is one of the best managers in baseball. Guy is so refreshing that the old-school establishment can't stand him and he just keeps winning.

Well, lets see what Alfredo Aceves has done wrong this inning:

3 BBs, 2 balks, failed to cover 1B, throwing error

                    Good work shit dick.

They say lineups don't matter anyway when it comes to run scoring. This is especially true of the 2013 Rays I'd suspect, since they won't score either way.

                        Why the Chamber of Commerce?

Ugh, Niese just took a liner off his foot or ankle, he's out of the game in the 3rd.

Bryce Harper is God. He just got a walk off of Wainwright.

A few years ago he was doing a luncheon and ine of the members asked why he didnt bat Zobrist at a certain spot in the order. So he said everyone at the lunch would work together for that nights lineup and batting order. Since then he allows them to make the lineup when he visits them.
