I wonder why teams aren't drafting Biggio's kid

Kyle Farmer drafted as a catcher to the Dodgers? Started for four years at shortstop, interesting pick. Decent bat but nothing special, doubt he'll ever make it to the majors. Finished with a .308 batting average and .968 fielding pct.Comment

Really like the MEts draft...got some high toolsy guys their 1st 4 picks, grabbed a few more OF's and draft Lee Mazzilli's kid, who is a college senior but apparantly can RAKE.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

Dodgers draft has been terrible this year.[REDACTED]Comment

MLB.com said he was projected as a late 1st, early 2nd.
Is it just teams don't have a clue on where he'll end up playing defensively? Figure, he's worth a flyer in the top 13 rounds.....obviously the baseball people disagree.

He's going to college. At this point it's a waste of the pick, because you won't be able to pay him enough to get him to sign.Comment

Some kids are going to college regardless of where they are picked...so, you see a lot of late 1, into the first three rounds or so slip until very late because they are going to college. Its Biggio's kid...he doesn't want for money, surely.Comment

The Arizona Diamondbacks have used a 34th-round draft pick on Arizona State outfielder Cory Hahn, who was paralyzed during a game in 2011.
Diamondbacks drafted Cory Hahn in the 34th round. Cory Hahn was partially paralyzed 3 games into his college career back in 2011 when he slid headfirst into 2nd base and collided with another player's knee. They waited until the 34th round because Hahn wore number 34 in college.

I like Tom Windle (second round). I watched a few of his games on the Big 10 Network, and he was impressive. Won't be an ace, but I think he will move through the minors quickly. With their rotation, he will probably end up being trade bait for the Dodgers though.Comment

At least the last three drafts had gone well.[REDACTED]Comment
