It would be great to get the series from Houston before going to Tampa Bay.

Hit a bunch of homers and regardless of what else you do we'll love you.

DON'T TAKE STEROIDS TO TRY TO HIT HOME RUNS, WE HATE YOU.

A Sub-Trumbo OBP will do that to ya

In all seriousness though, I'm happy to see Brown is providing value. He took a lot of shit for years and was jerked around quite a bit by the organization.

The career trajectory reminds me a bit of Pedro Alvarez, though without the glaring platoon issues Alvarez faces I suppose that's a bit unfair. Alvarez is much more one dimensional due to his inability to hit LHP, but both were post-hype prospects who turned into 30 HR hitters (with below average on-base skills) after being given up on completely.

The hype will get annoying fast, but at least it gives Doyer fans something to be happy about.

Nothing wrong with a fanbase getting excited about a young player, especially when he has a great debut.

Speaking of young players, we have a treat tonight in St. Louis.

Michael Wacha vs. Tyler Skaggs. There have been three pitchers 21 or under that have started a game this season, and this game will match up two of them.
