Sure, you can put some of it off to injuries like Harper and Werth, and the idiocy of keeping Espinosa playing, but not having the bench depth for a team that was expected to make a huge run is awful. That falls back 100% on Rizzo. Their lineup against the Orioles was awful, even in the game when Zimmerman hit three homers.

The other big part of it, you can't be 23rd in walk rate and fifth in strikeout rate. Their hitting coach should be about ready to be let go at this point.

- Daniel Descalso falls a triple short of the cycle for the second time in three weeks.

Fun stuff. Should be an excellent series this weekend in GABP between the Reds and Cards.
