Enjoy this season Braves, Because 2014 and Beyond will belong to the METS

Disclaimer: I realize the Mets current record isn't very good.

But that's about to change. It took a while for things to come together, but this roster is full of stars and they're about to start winning a lot of games. Need proof? Look no further then the way we are dominating the current top dog in the East today. Harvey and Wheeler, a combined 20 K's! I really like what I see, and know in my heart these kids are going to hang pennants at Citi Field.

The stars are alligned for the Mets. Two ace pitchers, an all time great 3B, a 2013 all-star 2B, huge power potential at 1B, best catcher prospect in baseball, etc. etc. I really like the way this roster is put together.

Plus, another thing in the Mets favor, they already have a great closer. What always seems to be the thing that holds back supposedly great teams that fail to meet expectations is the closer. If you don't have a great closer, then you aren't shit (see angels, dodgers, etc.). Bobby Parnell is hands down the best closer in MLB this year, with him locking down games for the Mets, we have no weakness.

2013 All Star Game at Citi Field...

...2014 World Series there too? Dream isn't so far fetched anymore!

The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

That's been said about the Mets so many times before this. Work on making the playoffs before you start thinking championships.

            Love the fandom here...

but who's this 1B you speak of? Ike Davis shit the bed big time this year...

SS is a mess, OF is a mess, bullpen is bad save for Parnell right now.

I do agree the future looking good with the staff...Harvey, Niese, Wheeler, Gee is a nice 1-4. Hefner been pitching well lately too.

Cheers to what your drinking, I want some.

Not drinking anything, bro. I'm at work, that shit don't fly with MLB. Although I do suspect some people come to work high on dope.

I'd trade Parnell in a heartbeat for a legit outfielder.

They've got starting pitching all over the organization. Unfortunately, the bats are just not there. Ike has taken 10 steps back and Duda is still a giant question mark. Same with Tejada.

Flores has no position, maybe 2nd, we'll see if he can hit in the bugs this summer. Nimmo is 2 years away at least. Puello has been raking but what about the biogenesis stuff?

What they must do is package some players either before next month or in the winter and get a big bat, preferably an OFer but 1b may be an option.

Hope some of the minor league bats come along and count on pitching to be the rock of the franchise.

The Mets are going to look way shittier when they trade for Andre Ethier.

As long as they don't give up anything of value (for the regressing 30+ year old who's owed over $60M over the next 3 or 4 seasons)...
