Made his first rehab start in Springfield last night. Fastball reached 95, and he generated four swing-and-miss Ks with it and his cutter. The announcers said his curve looked good too, but he gave up some hits off of it. Not a bad first outing (2.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K), especially since Carp seemed pleased with his effort.

Clayton Kershaw just couldn't suck it up could he. I don't remember :dickey: saying anything about it last year, and he had a much better case over Cain than Claw has over Harvey.

This guy was probably the highlight of the ASG for me last night. So good.

Orioles calling up Cuban OF Henry Urretia to the roster for Friday's game. Not sure how well he is going to do at the MLB level, but he will certainly do better than our current DH collection, who have combined for .197/.261/.382. I can imagine him there, and also rotating through the outfield.

"Tim Lincecum (threw 148 pitches in his no-hitter last Saturday) slated to make his next start Monday vs. Reds"

And only on EIGHT days rest! What a trooper, really taking one for the team here.

Hyped for lame narratives on Tuesday morning as we blame the pitch count from a week and a half earlier after the guy with the 5.00 ERA over the last two seasons pitches badly.

                              So ... like ... there's baseball tonight
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"
