    *ATTENTION* GARZA TRADE

Cubs traded Matt Garza to Rangers for Mike Olt & two low minor leaguers.

Sharkweather owned Olt, so he has until the end of the scoring period to declare whether he wants Garza. If he declines, Garza will go through waivers when he's added to the FA list by yahoo.

Justin Grimm is also involved in the trade. Primetime has Grimm.

As per the rules, Shark is lower in the standings so has the first claim. If Shark doesn't claim Garza, Primetime will be given the option of making the claim. If both pass, Garza will go through waivers when he is added to the FA list.

Welp, neither of these guys has come here to stake claim to Garza, so I guess it comes down to a waivers.

Since no one claimed him, I decided to use a waiver on Garza.

          1. It's not the end of the scoring period.
          2. If Shark doesn't claim him by then, he's miiiiiiiiiiine.

            Official ruling:
[09:30 PM] Warner2BruceTD : nobody with a claim on Garza posted. He was on the waiver wire for three days, and still neither guy claimed him. At that point, teh waiver process has to play out

This is what ended up happening.

I cant control when yahoo adds the players.

              Therefore, i'm adjusting the rule.

You have 48 hours to make a claim, or until the player is added to the FA list & place on waivers. Whatever comes first. If you aren't paying attention, too bad. LEAGUE OF MEN, pay attention. The claim has to be documented in the thread, or a PM/email if you wish to remain discrete.

Once the waiver claim goes through, I don't want to hear shit. The dates are made clear on yahoo, and there is ample time to post here or PM me.

Changing a rule mid-week in the middle of a claim period should = Garza being freezed at WORST.

No rule was ever changed. You are too hung up on this "until the end of the period" thing. All that meant was it needed to be resolved by then. We can't wait around while you guys hold your dicks because people need to put in waiver claims once the player is added.

I came back into the thread every step of the way to update what was happening. Nobody claimed the player before he was added. Nobody claimed the player after he was added. Nobody claimed the player when he cleared. You both had ample time/opportunity to send me something. Neither of you did. You say you were waiting for Shark to act first, I am highly skeptical.

I may freeze the player since the whole thing ended up a bit confusing since it was the first time. Check back.

This is unfair to everyone who was actually paying attention. Primetime fell asleep at the wheel, why should anyone else bare the cost of his fuckup?
