Good prospect, 3B with power. Main question is if his bat will play enough for the power to turn into HRs at the MLB level. Also questionable range at third.

Obviously this move is being made, because most of the lineup is inept offensively. Only Goldschmidt and Hill are above league average with the bat. But will Davidson get an everyday job? Prado has been the everyday 3B, but he sucks. However you can't relegate him to the bench either since he just signed the four year deal, so you shift him to the OF (?). But the OF is also crowded with Ross, Kubel, Eaton, Parra, and Pollock all getting playing time.

I expect Kubel to be gone after this year, he has a team option but is God awful. Another OFer will likely get the Chris Young treatment (probably will be kept by Firsttimer too), to clear out some space. Still it will leave the Diamondbacks with a surplus of below average bats being paid to be starters. I thought both the Ross and Kubel signings were pretty bad, and that hasn't changed. Great job Kevin Towers.

The Diamondbacks roster construction really is ass cheaks. They have 80 million in salary tied up in eleven players for 2014. That includes five players with a combined 2.7 WAR in 2013 making 41.9 million.

Love that guy. Kubel signing was also terrible, he should have stayed in the AL where he could DH. At least this means the Orioles never signed him.
