    Great Gabe Kapler PED piece

It's very long by short attention span standards, so for you lazy types who can't be bothered to read something for like 8 minutes, here are the cliffs:

-He believes we are underestimating the effects of PED's on performance, not overestimating

-He says it's totally unfair to assume people are using based on eyeballs

-He personally peaked physically at 24 or 25, which was interesting (and unfortunate for him), losing mass & power, and says PED's absolutely could have helped him extend his peak (which is what many guys like Bonds, Palmeiro, Clemens, used for).

Good read, sure there will be much debate on his points but let me say as an aside that Kapler has really been a rising star in the analyst realm for a while. As a former player his insight is great, but he seems to take a pretty level headed and open minded approach to answering questions. A few weeks back he wrote a really interesting breakdown of the Japanese approach to batting practice and how much more efficient and useful it is than the typical American set up.

Nice find WTB, and the Hebrew Hammer did not suck JMS, he just didn't live up to the potential he had and the expectations people put on him
