Final Week of the VSN AL LOM Regular Season

The final 7 days of the regular season are upon us and only two teams are totally out of playoff contention. Everyone else is playing for either better seeding or to clinch the final spot in the tournament.

4 teams are technically playing with a grasp on the #1 seed. At the moment, Grand Slam Pigs is tops with a 14-7 record and over 6200 points scored thus far. In a three-way tie for #2, there's IDK (5997), Manchild24 (5973) and Lifetime BrAuN (5666) each are 13-8.

Tommy's Hot Dogs is the only other team to have clinched a spot, the 5th seed (as of today) with 6388 points scored and a 12-9 record.

Now is where it gets busy as there are 5 teams playing for that final spot, the 6th seed. FuckBaseball&DMelvin is the leader of this group with an 11-10 record and 6462 points, to the extent that they're the favorites to move on whether they should win or lose. The reason? Of the four teams with a 10-11 record, the team with the highest point total is Crazy Brad Hawpe at 5840. That's a 622 point differential that must be made up, i.e.…it would take a monster week from someone and a completely shitty week from another to even get close to that #.

    As for those 4 teams @ 10-11, there's CBH, Hamilton's Coke Money (5747), 2014 in Flushing! (5697) and TBA (5198).

Lollygaggers at 9-12 and Pelotero at 1-20 are out of the race.

    Week 22 Matchups:

#2 IDK vs. 2014 in Flushing!
    #1 Grand Slam Pigs vs. #6 Fuckbaseball@DMelvin
    #4 Lifetime BrAuN vs. Pelotero
#3 Manchild24 vs. Crazy Brad Hawpe
    Hamilton's Coke Money vs. Lollygaggers
#5 Tommy's Hot Dogs vs. TBA

*Remember, the teams in 1st & 2nd place get a bye next week.

    #2
Gob has final spot locked up, because nobody is going to catch him in points. He could move up a seed with a win & an MvP loss.

The second bye is the real race to watch. Primetime needs to win (and will win because he's playing Shark's dead team), but needs Manchild & Lefty to both lose. Manchild & lefty are real tight in points, so they both have a real shot at the bye. even if I lose, they would need to win and outscore me by over 200 points to get the #1 seed, which technically is possible but highly unlikely. Technically, I could finish 3rd, or even 4th, but it would require a loss, plus monster weeks from manchild & lefty and an unreal week from Primetime.

MvP could get the two seed if all three of the above lose and he wins, because he has way more points than all of them. But Primetime playing Shark pretty much kills his chances.
