    Detroit Tigers Post Season Thread

Wanted to start this to see if any tigers fans are around and wanted to keep up on thoughts about the team while making the push for another World Series appearance.

If Verlander consistently shows up this post-season, we will be fine. Problem is that he is extremely inconsistent once October rolls around.

Since they go to a 4-man rotation in the playoffs, I don't think Verlander should be #1.

I'd give it to Sanchez or Scherzer

I just don't feel as if we can rely on Verlander. He hasn't been consistent all year.

      Thoughts?

Of course, if they go 7 games later on, that changes my thinking a bit.

Do you guys feel safe having Verlander pitch game 7?

I'm not sure if I do. So, I might actually put him first.

Given his performance this year, I'd go with Scherzer for a must-win game.

Of course, I say that and Verlander has 7 K's so far and they're in the 3rd inning.

But Scherzer is the man for me. /no homo

Verlander won't game 1 if you just look at the Tigers schedule. Unless they shift it around he pitches the final game of the season. Sanchez and Scherzer have been much better than V anyway, but I wouldn't be shocked if he completely shut the opponent down.
