    Yankees retain Joe Girardi

The Yankees have re-signed manager Joe Girardi to a four-year contract that runs through 2017, the team announced. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports the deal is worth $16 million with bonuses, making him the second-highest paid manager behind Mike Scioscia of the Angels.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

He must prefer living in NYC over Chicago then, since everything else seems to be a wash.
