Offline slow draft will be done here in March (date TBD).
Keep in mind, you have to be below 26 players to take part in the draft. This is because we have a 26 man active roster. The two DL spots & two NA spots can not be filled until after the draft. This is how Yahoo does things and it can not be changed.
The keeper date is March 1. Therefore, you must cut your roster to a maximum of 26 by March 1, otherwise Yahoo will not allow us to proceed. You must cut your roster below 26 in order to participate in the draft.
All teams with less than 26 players will participate in the draft, which will be a straight non serpentine draft using the reverse order of last years final standings (regular season). Each team will draft for however many rounds it takes to get your team up to 26 players. When all teams are at 26, the draft is over.
The draft order will be posted here on March 2. We will then slow draft in this thread at some point in late March.
Once the draft is complete, I will enter the results, and start the league. Once the league is started, you can DL or NA players who qualify, and add players via waiver claims/free agency as usual.
Remember, there will still be trades and free agent moves throughout the spring that will potentially change your roster. Just today, I had a player (Jose Lobaton) traded to the NL, thus off my team. Pete is tracking these moves, please try to keep up and keep posting your claims/cuts so I can keep your roster up to date. By March 1, you must be at 26 or below.
