    Braves, Simmons, agree to a 7-year, $58MM extension

    The deal will keep Simmons in Atlanta (or thereabouts) until 2020.

          Might be more of a steal than the Kimbrel contract, Simmons is developing into one of the better shortstops in baseball. Eventually he may be one of, if not the best, and Atlanta locked him up long term. Great deal.
