Sheffield was a joke ni DET. Thank god hes gone so people who can actually get on base can get a chance to bat. Marcus Thames now can be our DH. Sheffield was famous in DET for getting strikeouts in clutch situations. Maybe Guillen could even move to DH and Thames to LF which I like better.

Inge is a .237 career hitter. And he's been steadily declining since 2004 from .287 to .261 to .253 to .236 to .205. Not exactly a great trend to be seeing.

And his defense is FAR from stellar. You can't use a 50 game sample to make that determination. In the 3 years prior to that as a full-time starter at 3rd base he committed 18, 22, and 23 errors. He's average-at-best.

Sheff had to go. He hit into a ton of double plays last year, and struck out wayyyy too much. With Guillen moving to LF, that means Thames can DH....and there isnt much doubt that at this point Thames is better at the plate than Sheffield.

                  I like the move.

Agreed, no point in keeping Sheff when we have Thames and Anderson who can both play the outfield or DH.

So I'm thinking since I already started my chise with Shef, I should just trade him to another team 1 for 1 straight up. lawl.

Inge is not the guy to be at 3rd if the tigers want to win the world series. If they want to win with inge on the roster he needs to be a utility player

Inge is the least of their worries. They need a pitching staff that isn't AAA caliber..
