After going first to third, he scored on a grounder. To third. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment

I am hoping a trend develops and we see a bunch of these types of players. I have vague memories of the Astroturf era when every team had a guy like Willie Wilson or Vince Coleman who hit triples up the gap and ran every time they got on base. Baseball lacked that for 20 years.Comment

5-game hit streak snapped. .294/.333/.364 since the first 5 games (not counting last night).
The worst time to have an 0-12 is to start the season, especially for a rookie with all eyes on him. Takes forever to beef up the slash but he's been fine since the first week or so. I just wish he'd try to bunt a little more often. He put down a few bad ones early and seems to have lost confidence in it.Comment

The two most wacky things he's done are score from third on the pop up, and the routine single to RF vs the Cards where he just kept going and turned into a stand up double.Comment

Also, I always hate the arbitrary end points thing. I gave numbers since the 0-12 & 1-16 start for perspective.
.368/.429/.474 in September. So in the seven weeks of his career, he's basically slumped hard for five games. It's all #SSS at this point.Comment

He's an electric player, I wish there were more of them. I am sure that Reds fans love him.Comment
