    Pineda ejected for pine tar

Pineda ejected for pine tar on the back of his neck.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Pineda got lit up by the Sox in the 1st, then came out with the pine tar and got busted. Dumb moves.

MLB has announced that Yankees right-hander Michael Pineda will be suspended 10 games for having pine tar -- an illegal substance -- on his neck during his Wednesday night start against the Red Sox.

Pineda, who has a 2014 ERA of 1.83 and a K/BB ratio of 5.00 after four starts, was ejected in the second inning. The suspension begins Thursday night.

According to multiple reports, Pineda will be paid during the suspension and will not be fined.

On Thursday, Pineda told reporters that would he not appeal the suspension. As Chad Jennings of the LoHud Yankees Blog points out, that means Pineda will miss only one regular turn in the rotation.

Pretty light suspension, only missing one start and still getting paid.
