    Team beat writers on Twitter

I follow all of the relevant national guys, and i'm trying to follow the key team beat guys.

I've got the Reds covered with Fay, Sheldon & Rosecrans. Cards with Strauss & Miklasz. Bowman for the Braves. Kilgore for Nats, Muskat with the Cubs. I stopped following the Pirates guy with the long name because he's as annoying as the fans.

Who else does a good job at the team level?

Strauss is horrid, all he does is troll. I'd suggest Goold in place of him.

For the Brewers, Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) is the beat writer for MLB.com. He tweets what's going on with the team, and that's it, no bull shit. Good follow. Tom Haudricourt (@Haudricourt) is the beat writer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He's old school, and makes bad jokes about the weather. He's had me blocked for a few years now. I don't remember what all happened, but I trolled him about Taylor Green, and then twisted his words in order to get him to say Kevin Goldstein was a bad scout. He pretty much never breaks the story, but check him out if you want.

For the Twins, LaVelle E. Neal III (@LavelleNeal) is the beat writer for the local paper. As you can probably guess by the name, he is a goofy looking fat black guy, so sometimes he tweets about stupid shit. Phil Mackey (@PhilMackey) has a radio show on the local ESPN affiliate. He tweets a lot about the Twins, and takes a sabermetrics approach (wannabe Keith Law type), but he also tweets Vikings and Minnesota basketball team stuff .

Good thread idea Here are the ones for the Orioles

        Baltimore Sun- Eduardo Encina- @EddieInTheYard

        Baltimore Sun- Dan Connolly- @danconnollysun

        MASN- Roch Kubatko- @masnRoch

        CSN- Rich Dubroff- @RichDubroffCSN

        MLB.com- Brittany Ghiroli- @Britt_Ghiroli

Roch is my favorite dating back to his time with the Sun. Encina was also a beat writer for the Rays before coming to the Sun, and he's been solid as well.

          Dodgers:

Eric Stephen https://twitter.com/truebluela is the editor at the Dodgers SB Nation blog. He does a fantastic job.

Ken Gurnick https://twitter.com/kengurnick is as cut and dry as beat writers go. The official MLB guy.

          Giants:

Andrew Baggarly https://twitter.com/CSNBaggs - he also covers other SF teams, though.

Grant Bisbee https://twitter.com/mccoveychron is the SFG SB Nation guy. He also writes for SBNation on MLB in general. He's hilarious.

Bowman is by far the best guy on the Braves beat, but if you want the snarky replies to dumb acquisition suggestions (ie "CHONE FIGGINS IS AVAILABLE! ANY INTEREST?" you should follow Dave O'Brien. He's insufferable at times and fields useless questions, so he's much more fun for a hate follow than Bowman, who is dully competent by comparison.
