Agreed, I don't see the problem either. Or let him suit up for the AL instead. Definitely sucks for the guy because it's not his fault he was traded.

King Solomon would suggest that Samardzija suit up for the AL but also have to wear a Cubs jersey. That sounds better than Bud Selig's edict of not playing at all.

To be fair, he had a large enough gap by the time he went down for injury. Plus, word didn't come until right before the surgery that he would be done for the year.

I didn't even vote this year, but I certainly would not have voted for Wieters. Our PR group is also the worst, as they were still pushing votes for Wieters even after the surgery.

I agree on Rendon, I hope he is the final selection voted in.

I wonder if the fact that he's had to switch between 2nd and 3rd his hurting his stock. I don't care. He fields both positions well. He's hitting for average, he's hitting for power, and he's got the RBIs. The guy just hits so smooth.
