Kemp Possibly Wanting to be Traded?

According to Ken Rosenthal, Kemp is open to being traded: "Matt Kemp isn’t asking the Dodgers to trade him. But he isn’t necessarily opposed to the idea, either."

Kemp’s desire to play in center field remains and Dave Stewart, Kemp’s agent, said his client wants to the opportunity play every day: "Whatever they want to do we’re favorable to, as long as it gives him an opportunity to play every day,” Stewart said. “He’d like to eventually go back to center field. He’s not opposed to right or left. But his hope at some point is to get back to center.”

I am still on the fence about this one, I say get rid of him and get some better relief pitching but that's just me, what do you guys think they should do?

They have the money to pay someone and take Kemp off their hands.

If they're paying, I would think they're expecting to get more than some relief pitching. But Kemp is kind of . . . meh. He's a shell of his former 2011 self. I mean .760 is a nice OPS for a CFer but his defense in CF is pretty poor.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

He's not what he once was, but if LA eats the contract, they will get a decent piece or two in return. Kemp did have a slow start and started to pick up once it got late into spring. Also not having at-bats every day also sets you back when you are used to playing every day up to this point. A change of scenery is definitely needed for Kemp I think.

If they're going to trade and eat contract it will be Crawford or Ethier, not Kemp.

Yeah he had that explosive month of June as is back to being cold, not very consistent i say they just trade him. They have been talking about getting Jonathan Papelbon so we will see!
