    Milwaukee Brewers

Baseball is finally here, the Brewers will (hopefully) have their opening day tomorrow. I can't wait for the game; even though Suppan is pitching. Hopefully Suppan suprises us all and has a good game.

Anyone going to any games? I'm going to the opener in Milwaukee on Friday! Can't wait!

Making the trip from MPLS to Milwaukee with GopherFootball/Burt_Doyle/RickieWeeks for the home opener on Friday and staying for the game Saturday. We have a bunch of friends going. Should be a good time.

I'll probably go in early and dash home from work at 3:00 tomorrow to watch the game on MLB.tv. Here's hoping Suppan gets the season off to a good start.

Well, we showed tonight why we won't have a good season. Giving up 10 runs including three bombs to the Giants is horrible. We knocked around Timmy a little bit but we can't win games with our offense alone. I feel like this is going to be one big struggle all year long for us.

Gallardo is the only pitcher to ever hit a home run off of Randy Johnson. It was history in the making.

haha. I've been to Brewer games like that. I've never witnessed a pitcher hit a home run, but I've seen guys who are everyday starters, and they haven't hit a homerun yet, in August, and they hit one out. That sucks, cause it's the last thing you expect to happen.

Great game today against the cubbies. I'm glad we found a way to win in the ninth, otherwise it would have ruined my day, lol.

Braden Looper was impressive in his first start as a Brewer. The only mistake he made was the HR to Milton Bradley (that helped my fantasy team though so it's all good). Looper usually pounds the strike zone, so the four walks were a little concerning; but until he gets a few more starts in I think we can chalk that up to a lack of playing time in spring training and opening day jitters.

Seth McClung had another disappointing outing. He was really good for the Brewers last year both as a starter and as a reliever, and I thought he could compete with Carlos Villanueva for the closer job while Hoffman was hurt. But McClung has sucked it up in his first two games this year. His command sucks and his velocity has really gone down. And the home run he gave up to Hill...what a fucking joke, that shouldn't be happening.

Our offense has been stagnant so far this year. Harden shut us down, and the shadows didn't help either. Corey Hart had a nice game, with a home run and 2 walks. I bet it will be a long time before we see Hart with 2 walks again. But Hart had his usual swing at a pitch in the dirt. We did a good job of getting on base, with 8 walks and at least one guy was hit by a pitch. But we need to start getting some hits to score those base runners. Rickie Weeks figured that out in the ninth though. Kudos to you Rickie. Your double and base running won the game for us! And you made a couple of nice plays on defence too!

                      WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!

Great game today. Cubs fought hard. GREAT to see Looper have a successful outing. It's great when a guy like Looper can win the battle against Rich Harden. Team effort today and Weeks just dominated offensively and defensively. I'm really looking for Weeks to break out this season.

Got back from Milwaukee today and the games were pretty amazing. Friday's game was simply awesome. That my first time being at a game with a finish like that and it was surreal.

Saturday's game was a good one to watch but ended equally as unawesome as Friday's was awesome.

In other news, Jeff Suppan makes me want to cry.

Suppan gets deservingly booed upon leaving and Julio comes in and walks another in. This is embarassing.
