That was bound to happen sometime.

My dad is a huge Pirates fan, and every year they kill him with their play. I almost want to pick them as a sleeper team every year, but then everyone just asks what I'm smoking.

Give them about 5 years. If they can try to turn around the franchise, make some decent draft picks, almost follow in line with the Rays, then they can be a competitive team. Shame that they can sellout that beautiful ballpark.

bleachers aren't bad at all. Could get uncomfortable, but that is only if you are being a bitch. That is where you can fight with other fans ( last year yankees vs rangers. Rangers went up big and homo Ranger fans were getting all loud. That was until the Yanks came back and crushed them and the whole crowd got on them and they were forced to leave).

I've always liked the Pirates for some reason. Maybe it's the lovable losers thing.

That's the only cool thing about not having many fans in the bleacher seats.

Pick literally like an seat you want.

Although last year some creepy mfer came and sat down behind me and my friend... with 50 open seats all around lol.

If you've never been to PNC before you should get a good seat on the 3rd base side at field level for your first game. Seeing the sun set and gleam on the city skyline in the background while watching the game is amazing. Not many parks can match that view. And you'll also be able to see all the stuff they put up on the jumbotron without having to turn completely around.

Then get bleacher seats for your last 2 games and get drunk and disorderly.

Zake Duke looked like he had a great performance (just checked out the box score) tonight.

I flipped over to the Pirates game just in time to see that Doumit grand slam, followed by Laroche's shot. Both were just crushed.

It would be nice if the Pirates can keep playing well, but unless Maholm can pitch every game, they still need more pitching. The bullpen looks terrible. Jesse Chavez was asked to pitch the 9th in a 10-1 game and he couldn't throw strikes. WTF...just challenge them at that point. And they need a 3rd baseman. Andy Laroche should still be in AA. They should plug Hinske in at 3rd base for his bat.
