    Seattle Mariners

So, the M's are 1-0 so far and Griffey has hit the first bomb of the young season. Couldn't have scripted it better if you wanted to.

M's are now 4-2 and could have been 6-0 if not for a pair of 1 run losses.

5-2 now. One out away from being 6-1. Ichiro is coming back on Tuesday as well. Bedard just had a monster pitching performance too. I think they are going to be a sleeper team this year. I think at worst, they finish around .500.

Yeah baby! Griffey just hit his 400th career homeruns as a Mariner. Only guy in MLB history to have 400 HR's with one team and 200 HR's with another.

Awesome comeback win for the M's today. Verlander pitched a perfect first four innings but then got tagged for 5 runs in the 5th. M's end up winning 6-3. Seattle is now 8-3 with a 2 1/2 lead on the A's.

The M's have the best ERA in the bigs. If they can stay top 10 they have a shot. The bats have to start getting hotter though. Beltre, Griffey and Lopez are all around .200 or lower. Plus the HR's need to start coming too. If as a team they bat around .275 and have a solid ERA then they can take advantage of the Angels injuries and stay in the race til the end.

I wouldn't be surprised if either Lopez or Betancourt or both are gone by the end of the season though. Neither one of them looks too happy in Seattle.

We will see. The M's have solid pitching. The ballpark is built for pitching. If everyone stays healthy and Silva can lower his ERA from 6.00 to 4.50 the M's will finish in the top 5 for best team ERA. Now if they can only swing the bats a little more consistently.

they need another starter, Silva is toast and Jakubauskas is not ready to fill the role and needs to stay in the pen

Jakubauskas pitched brilliantly yesterday but the offense was not existant in the first game, but woke up the second game. Branyan has also seen a revitilization. If he keeps it up could be comeback player

Yeah, Branyan is solid so far. We need our guys to step up. Worst team when it comes to OBP in the entire league. MLB.

We need a bat. Right now our SLG% is horrible but our OBP is bottom three in the MLB. Betancourt doesn't have a damn walk yet, neither does Ichiro. About half the lineup can't walk to save their life. If it was up to me I would maybe trade a prospect or two along with one of the hot pitchers for a solid bat.

isn't Bedard a FA after this year? Even though he is pitching pretty good, Morrow eventually will need to stepup and becoming a starter
