Awful to hear about this, he just pitched 6 innings against Oakland last night. Really makes ya think that athletes are just like us and life can be taken away in the blink of an eye. Can't believe he's pitching one night and gone the next.

I just saw this on ESPN earlier. It stunned me that he had just pitched last night...R.I.P.

But it sucks to see someones life taken away at such an early age. Especially when he probably had a good future ahead of him.

Very sad. I checked out the Angels website 5 minutes ago, and they had his picture up from last nights game and talked about his pitching performance. Now, they just updated the page, used the same pic, and added "1986-2009". Scary how quick it all can end.

Im an east coast boy but I was watching the game (Huge Angles Fan) on MLB XtraInnigns and went to bed at midnight when he was still in, I cant believe this.
