    The MLB's only "switch" pitcher

This is wild. Never heard of anything like this before, and hope this kid makes his way to the majors very soon.

i think i saw videos of this guy last year.

    it's a very interesting situation

i see they added a rule.....but I wonder how MLB would tackle it.

it would be hell for batters if this guy was switching arms mid count......god damn that would be brutal.

he's certainly going to garner a big paycheque if he has success tho......

That's nuts. I can't imagine the skill it takes to throw both right and left.

Switch hitters can't switch sides mid count, right?

I doubt they'd let him switch arms mid count.

I think you are allowed to switch once or twice per at bat. I remember Larry Walker I think it was switched after Randy Johnson through a fastball over his head.

Seen this a year or so ago. I think the rule in place is that a switch hitter must enter the box and set up a certain way, the switch pitcher then has the option of pitching lefty or righty and neither of them can change after that.

For most casual fans of baseball this doesn't seem like a big deal, but the numbers of players batting against left-handed and right-handed batters vary tremendously. If this kid can get his stuff down pat, he can be very dangerous.

It's really unbelievable and I wish the kid success in the Majors. That video is hilarious.
Dude...the funny thing about this is, I remember talking to my buddy like 2 weeks ago how the ultimate "weapon" would be a switch pitcher that could throw good lefty and righty. Low and behold, there is a guy out there that can already do this...and better yet, he's on Yanks farm system!

Sidenizzle - Now if only you could set a pitcher in the Show to be a switch pitcher, haha.
