Yeah, I am in no way shape or form ready to believe that all is golden with our pitching staff. We all know Suppan is gonna fall apart again atleast one more time this year. Not sure what to think about Parra either. He's been good of late but how long will that last.

I feel good about Yo and Bush. And I'm fairly confident in Looper. I just do not trust Suppan or Parra to consistently pitch well. Thus far the pitching has been much better than I had anticipated. Theres a lot of games left and I'm not terribly confident they'll keep it up.

He also made a throwing error, that has allowed the Cardinals to turn a 7-0 game into a 7-4 game, I hope it doesn't get worse.

I'll pass. Gamel should be getting a lot of playing time with Weeks done for the year. Counsell and maybe even Hall will see most of the playing time at 2nd. So Gamel will probably be getting the start against most righties.

in a sense yes, above average to great hitter with terrible defense

i still stick with what i said that gamel is more of a gap power hitter

In hist first start today Gamel had a very nice swing for a home run. Also had a very very nice diving play and throw at third. But he did have an error as well. I think this kid is gonna be good.
