Willis gets 1st win as a Tiger

Man. It was great to see him pitch so well. Hes wanted to win here so bad and watching him get all excited when the crowd gave him a standing O when Leyland pulled him was one of the best moments this season so far.

If he can do anything for this team, that might one of the best trades of all time.

The deal was a win no matter how Willis did. I still think Dombrowski's a moron for handing Willis $30 million when he's clearly been going downhill rapidly for the last 4 years, but that technically wasn't part of the trade arguably.

It's good to see him win, but as far as his career is concerned, he'll never get back to where he was.

Maybe the stuff they have him on for the anxiety disorder is working. :D

It would be great to see him return to all-star form.

I'm not sure it was the trade that people are usually up in arms about, but rather the extension given to Willis when all metrics pointing to him having a tremendous downward slope.

He looked good, only allowing 1 hit. I think the manager did the right thing after that walk he gave up in the 7th by taking him out. I think he is on his way back with a new pitching motion.

In our division you'd be in third place as well. Actually, I take that back. You guys would be doing about as good as the Orioles if you were in our division and had to constantly take on the Sox, Rays, Jays, and Yanks.

Let's not forget we hold the season series lead at 2 games to 1, and those games were without A-Rod. Currently on an 8 game winning streak.

Personal shots. Always necessary when debating something else. Take that shit to the locker room.

Back to the subject, glad to see Willis pitching again.
I always liked the kid-like love for the game he brought.
