In 2005 Draft I remember watching Monta Ellis being taken and I thought it was a stupid pick for the Warriors even at #40. How things have changed.

    Coming soon...

I would just like to see a healthy year out of Bogut.

Yeah.. that worked out well. Pretty bad day for me as a Raptors fan.. my favourite player could've been on my favourite team and BALLING OUT doing it too.

LOL, I remember that Rafael Araujo pick...I think everyone including Araujo was like WTF?

            roflllllllllllllllllll

sucks to be a raptor fan.

at least we got Wade that one year

As far as draft day trades go, I think they are one of the most exciting aspects of the draft.

Would've been sweet if the Pacers would've kept Bayless this past year. I do think Bayless will have a better career than Rush, only because he has more upside in his game.

David Lee was a nice pick at 30 for the Knicks.

the 2006 draft is worse. Baically only 3 good players came out of it. Everyone else are busts

                1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
                1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"

                  DerMarr 2000 draft

therefore that is the best draft.

                    Only 3?

                    Bargnani
                    Aldridge
                    Roy
                    Foye
                    Gay
                    Rondo
                    Millsap
                    Ronnie Brewer
                    Tyrus Thomas.. I guess

Not the greatest draft but still a young one with some nice players in it.

Not so much sleeping on him but for a #1 pick hasn't exactly been a great pick, especially considering some of the people who were drafted behind him.

Hes coming around.. he made great strides last year after Sam got fired and especially after O'Neal was traded. This guy is going to be a force.. very few NBAers possess that all-around skill set for his size. I expect him to take another leap this year.

Of course you do. It's like meatball Bulls fans waiting for Tyrus Thomas to come around.

Barg is at best a poor mans Dirk.

In any case people sleep on him because better players (to this point in their careers) were taken after him and like it or not the #1 player is expected to be the best player taken in the draft.
I wouldn't label him a bust but I also wouldn't blame people for glancing by him when reviewing the good players that came out of this draft because he has underperformed for a #1 pick especially in relative terms to guys taken after him.

I was so on the Granger bandwagon for orlando when he fellto them at 9

I wanted either Granger or Gerald Green, both ended up slipping, one turned out to be a star, the other hasnt developed yet

and the magic selected Fran, who is not only the ugliest guy in the world, but has no interest in coming to the NBA whatsoever

which always made me wonder why he put his name int he draft to begin with, and not only that, was in the green room for the draft. Didnt make sense to me

Yeah still beats the hell out of the 2000 draft.

I am going to say for the 100th time or whatever that I always knew picking Joey Graham over Granger was going to be a dumb move for the Raptors, they had him fall right into their laps, and they shoved him off their lap.
Finally back after a 3 year hiatus!
