At first I really didn't like this for the Wizards, but after looking at their roster almost the entire team comes off the books after next season, so they could actually make a play at Amar'e if he likes it there.

I still think the Suns get the better end of the deal, I really like Jamison as a player and there's alot of talent at #5, but Jamison is signed for a long ass time.

This would make the Wizards a top 4 team in the East imo, behind the celts, magic, and cavs.

Arenas + Amar'e + Butler = Very solid young trio

      Make it happen.

I would actually watch Wizards games if this trade went through.

          LOL

I didn't think about that, so basiclly it would come down to a win-lose scenario for the Wizards. Yet seeing how the Wizards are just losing now, i guess it would be better to at least have a chance at becoming a top 4 east team.

If they did that and keep them healthy they would be a very scary team.

Haywood is a bum who is just lanky. I've played/trained with him, he's not very good. Wizards won't be great till they get rid of him, he's a liability on both sides of the court. IMO they'd be much better off throwing in Javale McGee or signing someone like Drew Gooden to the exception

There has been plenty of trade speculation and rumors involving Amare Stoudemire lately. But unlike the week of the February trade deadline, none of this talk actually has involved the Suns. Reports that the Suns have been engaged in trade talks that would send Stoudemire to Boston or Washington are conjecture. They also probably are not the last of trade rumors for Phoenix, which is just as apt to move Shaquille O'Neal or Jason Richardson.

Haywood is a pretty serviceable big man when healthy. Will block you a few shots, grab some boards, and clog the lanes. He was injured most of the year but played nice when he came back and was coming off a very solid year. He never panned out like he was supposed to, but hes still a quality big man.

it doesn't matter where he played in college, much better players have come from smaller schools. College is a completly different game from the pros. Most of the greatest college players don't pan out great in the pros and vice versa

Center is one of the biggest needs for the Wizards imo. They need a banger on the inside, everyone they have is too timid.

Doesnt necessarily translate into an NBA game, but yeah, typically top recruits are going to UNC.

Center actually isnt there bigggest need, Haywood average nearly a double-double before he got hurt...... First they need to stay healthy, secondly, they need to defend as a team which they dont even try to do 80 percent of the game.... lastly, they probably should have moved Jamison last year when Cleveland was dangling Wally Szcerbiak's expiring deal.... let it expire and use the 10 million to try to sway a Boozer or Millisap type to Washington, instead they held out hope that they could stay healthy and win with what the have.... i am not certain this current team is anythin more than a #4 seed in the East right now.... can anyone honestly say the Wizards as currently constructed are better than the Celtics, Magic or Cavs?
