    McGrady a Knick?

T-Mac going to the Knicks would scare LeBron away even more. LeBron probably wants someone who can help him win in the playoffs, not one of the best choke artists in the league.

If they actually did this I may consider using the Knicks on 2k10.

It wouldn't scare, lol at LeBron being scared

If they do this, then imo the Knicks are saying "Here's the start, what else do you need"

Then sign either Bosh or Amar'e

Then maybe nash, depends what happens to the suns

Wait. Are you saying that they'd get TMac, sign Bosh/Amare, Nash and then get Lebron?

What non salary cap world are you living in? Even if they worked some salary cap magic, its hard for me to believe that TMac, Bron, Nash, and Bosh/Amare could all coexist. Three of those guys are at least 20 ppg players.

Lebron and Bosh/Amare would work but after that its just overkill. I mean basically follow the Celtic format. Get a pass first PG, bruising center and an outside shooter plus at least two reliable bench guys.

maybe you guys didn't read, but it said his contract COMES OFF THE BOOKS the 2010 off-season. He would be used as a one year mercenary, benefiting both NY and himself as he gets into the limelight again and has motivation to get a bigger deal in the off-season. I highly doubt they would actually resign him.

                Exactly what Yawkey said

                I don't expect them to get Nash/McGrady/LeBron/Amar'e

McGrady would be only for a year, his contract somes off in a year

Worst case scenario, they'll be able to sign Bosh or Amar'e and re-sign T-Mac and get one more piece of the puzzle

Your first post basically says you expect them to get all of them. When you say the Knicks are saying here's a start, your obviously talking about LeBron. You then say they sign Bosh/Amare, and then potentially Nash. You basically said thats what you think happens.

You didn't talk about McGrady being only for a year at all, you said McGrady is the start and the enticing piece for LeBron.

My bad for not being clearer about it, when I wrote that, I was thinking "Were ready to start to win again, to get back into the game with a star"

I highly doubt that they'll keep him, yet if they sign bron and bosh they might be able to sign nash, then they wouldn't need to sign t-mac. On the chance that they only sign one star, then t-mac would be better than nothing to sign.

Again, sorry for not being clearer.

Nice pick up for the Knicks if this happens. I'd love to see McGrady sitting on the bench in New York in a suit because he's injured.

McGrady's knees are shot. His career is essentially over.
Sounds like a perfect deal for the Knicks.

Knicks need a makeover and getting an injury prone player is not a good start. I would get Hedo for a 1 year deal and over pay for him maybe 12-14 mill. his contract is done and then knicks can go all out for Lebron and Amare and maybe nash will sign for a good deal...damn im sounding like this is nba live 2009 lol

I didn't know Tmac's contract expired in 2010. I would rather have Hedo than Tmac at this stage of there careers

In fairness to McGrady he's one of the few stars who's stats go up in come playoff time. I believe he's somewhere around 30ppg, but that means little when he's on bad teams and can't get out of the first round. As for the move I don't see the benefits for anyone other than the Rockets since they'd be getting rid of a star on the downside of his career. This move would be up there with the Knicks going after Marbury.
