Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo to The Pistons?

The Celtics, according to Yahoo! Sports, offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Pistons for a package that included Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey, league sources said on Monday.

Allen and Rondo have been in the middle of many trade rumors this summer and where there's smoke, you have to think there's fire. However, it is hard to imagine the C's giving up on Rondo after he helped them win a championship a year ago. Allen, on the other hand, seems to be at the top of the Celtics' list of players they hope to move.

As a Celts fan I would be cool with the trade. Better move then the rumored Stoudemire to Boston trade. I'm a fan of Rondo so it would suck to see him go but this would make the team better and its hard to argue with something that will make your team better.

Rondo is way better than Stuckey, meaning the Celts would get worse at the PG spot

The package Detroit would send however would overall be better and leave their team worse overall.

not sure how much truth should be set to these rumors. I don't think Danny Ainge would trade Ray Allen, but I could see him trading Rondo. Rondo's on the uncoachable side and is stubborn. I would rather trade Rondo to the Kings for the 4th overall pick though, or something along those lines.

But i would want to keep Rondo before those options anyways, so good thing none of these deals are happening.

Celtics have nothing better to do lol. Why would they trade Ray when he is coming off a great playoff performance? Even if his contract expiring.

Um because they are raping Detroit in the process .

On another note tho , Boston seems desperate to get rid of Rondo .

If the team is in the rebuilding process I highly doubt Rip would want to stay.
