      if ray allen is off the books after this upcomming year and the pistons made this deal they would be looking at enormous amounts of cap room in 2010 and a top 5 pick. clearly there would be no supporting cast for rondo and they would be cellar dwellers.

        Really.. will the Pistons contend with Rip and Prince? Doubtful. Even if they add Boozer or Gordon.

        I think Detroit should have made this trade, they would have rid themselves of two bad contracts and taken on an expiring contract while upgrading at point guard. Then in 2010.. you can compete for a Lebron, Wade or Bosh.

            Anyone who thinks Celtics would deal Rondo are fooling themselves. He just broke out in the playoffs...what's the point of raising a kid into a star and then as soon as he blossoms getting rid of him?

            Waste of your own resources, you just developed a player for someone else.
