Bears could move Urlacher to strong-side LB

What about this: Urlacher moves to weak side and Briggs moves to MLB? The Strong Side LB typically does not make a lot of plays. Just look at when Cato June moved from Weak side in indi to Strong side in Tampa (because of derrick brooks).

Anyone that doesnt think Urlacher is over rated is a Bears fan. When NFL coaches and players were asked who is the most over rated player in the NFL last season did you know that 4 out of 10 said Brain Urlacher?

I'm saying that i know that the Chicago Tribune doesn't know shit, have u ever read it? Urlachers gunna stay in the middle, lance is gunna stay strong side, Is Urlacher the DPOY that he was a few years ago? Hell no, he's still a very good MLB, just not top 5 anymore.

One of Urlacher's greatest strengths is coverage. If we could find some support on the weak side, it'd be a better benefit to him. But very few linebackers have the cover skills or Brian Urlacher, even at this stage of his career. Nick Roach/Hunter Hillenmeyer could definitely use an upgrade. When we used to have that beast LB core it was impossible to run on us, mind you we had some beefy mofos up the middle too.

That being said, Briggs would do a fine job in the middle. But Urlacher's ego probably wouldnt allow them to switch places.

I've never really believed in the notion that Brian Urlacher is overrated. Bear fans know how good he is and his weaknesses. It isn't his fault he got voted to the pro bowl a couple years and since then he is expected to get 150 tackles every year. Having Roach/Hillenmeyer as our 3rd linebacker has really hurt us. Many times we have had stops in the gap or in the backfield only for one of those clowns to get trucked or shook off like a fly.
