I think Sheed is a good fit here, they should try to offer him a starting spot which the Celtics probably wont offer him.
They have their hearts set on LeBron playing PF it seems

So therd be no need to move Marion from SF

The Cavs said its LBJ best position and its what he was playing when he was involved in 32 straight points in the Magic game that they won (2nd one not first)

He is a top defender. he can guard almost any position except for center. I think you are just talking out of you ass

This would be huge for the Cavs, IMO it'd be a great signing

He's a great defender who can guard almost any position except centers, yet there are a few centers who he wouldn't have much trouble against

I think you're talking out of your ass if you think Marion can defend big 4s in the NBA. Marion can guard the 1-3 no doubt, but jump shooting 4's can shoot over him and back-down 4's dont have trouble getting to the hole on him. Playing the 4 in Phoenix is not the same as playing the 4 in a system like Cleveland where defense is priority. Please get your shit straight before you tell someone they're talking out of their ass.

They do want LBJ to play the 4 though

So therd be no need to move Marion from 3 if thats the case

That'd be interesting aswell.. as LeBron is just the prototype 3 in my opinion. his insane wingspan and body structure would better suit him for guarding real 4's than Marion tho. It'd be a huge upgrade over playing Varaejo at the 4 and LeBron at the 3 regardless.

Yeah well like I said they feel its his best position

When he was directly involved in 32 straight points v the Magic he was playing at PF according to the team .

They must think it can work v everyone

The Cavs should've used LeBron at the 4 more often in that series bcus he was better suited to be covering Rashard. I can see where they're coming from because hes a solid point forward, and it'd be ideal to put another guy at the 3 that can stretch the floor. Also, LeBron is very tough for bigger 4's to guard as they can keep up with his speed. Also, LeBron loves space around the basket, having the 4 play out on him is one less body to get through under the net when hes driving.

                          Raptors offered Marion an extension..

There might not be any teams willing to pay $10 million a year for an aging role player, meaning Marion doesn't have much leverage. Most observers feel that he will eventually sign with Toronto, partly because of his longstanding relationship with GM Bryan Colangelo.

At this point anyone we pick up could be better than the set up we have now. Cavs missed out on Ariza, they missed out on Artest. I'm tired of the rumors and want to see Danny get something done cause I'm sick and tired of the false hope and promises of a championship. Right now with the addition of Shaq? Cleveland is still stuck in third gear and the East is only getting tougher.

He would be like...fourth fiddle on that team. LBJ, Shaq, Mo Williams. Marion would come in and provide an athletic 3/4 that can defend and hit a shot.
