    DREAM 10 Spoiler thread

Love watching Manhoef, but the poor guy just cant seem to learn the ground game, Filho is a beast on the ground, but Melvin should have finished him at some point, he gets caught almost the same way every time

Sucks seeing Sakurai lose, prop to Zaromskis, a KO of the year canidate against High in the final fight

I havent watched the Aoki fight yet, but no the outcome, probably watch it in a bit

First half of the show was great.

Second half dragged, first with the injury finish in the Taylor fight, then the Aoki fight which put me to sleep. HIghlight reel KO saved the second half of the show from being a total waste.

Weirdest thing was Sakuraba challenging Sexiyama, and the announcers putting it over like they expect it to happen in the fall. Akiyama was there, too. I know grandstading is common in MMA, especially in Japan, but the behavior of the announcers concering it was odd.

Aoki/Shaolin was not good, I thought I would see some great grappling, I am sad

Looks like Aoki/Hansen 3 might be in October, should be a good one

When I watch Manhoef compete in MMA, I feel like I'm watching an Ishida fight - once you've seen him more than once you pretty much know how it's going to end up. With that said, I still think Manhoef's ground game is going to come around sooner or later.

After checking, Melvins first MMA fight was in 1996! Than he started to fight again in 1999, he should have a servicable ground game by now and its sad

I dont think he does that much ground work to be honest, he still fights K1 a bunch and probably just focuses on his stand up because thats his sport

The only real K1 guy to have big time MMA success was Cro Cop and he pretty much went full time MMA if I remember correctly, Semmy had some, but was Pancrase also and trained MMA a lot, but Cro Cop is the one that took it to the next level

Yup, Melvin in an interview admitted that while he tries to practice his BJJ, he can't put too much time into it because he's still under contract by K-1 and kickboxing is how the bills get paid. Manhoef is awesome whether or not he learns a ground game, but if he just had an inkling of it he'd REALLY be a problem.

Shaolin/Aoki was meh. Aoki seems to have improved his striking, but I was also disappointed that it wasn't a grappling match.

I HATED that Mach lost by cut, but I do like how Zaromskis fights.

                  Kikuno is a sneaky bastard.

I just finished watching Manhoef vs Filho & holy fuck did I think it was over from the get go - Manhoef was landing some massive shots, but once again he was exposed on the ground. BJJ WINS!!!

Filho-Manhoef was fun but disappointing, because both looked poor outside their element. Filho was getting straight up worked hard in the stand up and Manhoef offered nothing on the ground. It does mark you wonder what Manhoef could if he actually focused on MMA...

I have yet to watch Aoki-Ribiero, but I don't blame Aoki for fighting the smart fight.

Finally watched through the whole show. Zaromskis just made me love him. Oh, sure, the two awesome head kicks might have had a bit to do with it... but really, it was coming out to "The Final Countdown" by Europe. Fucking awesome. Oh, and he can fight, too.
