Gotta be Chauney.. by far too, IMO.

Ive been over this before.. just bcus Paul gets steals doesnt mean hes a good defender. Hes not a bad one by any means.. but hes not in the elite in the NBA at all.

Definitely Chauncey. Andre Miller would probably be second for me. He's a good on-ball defender and he gets a lot of steals as well. Paul and Rondo are extremely one-dimensional on defense. They are both great ball hawks, but they aren't that good one-on-one.

Derek Fisher comes to mind as well, depending on who he's guarding of course because he can't keep up with the super speedy guys.

Fisher USED to be a good defender.. he gets beaten off the first step by pretty much every PG in the NBA these days.

Toss up between Deron and CP3

            1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
            1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"

Some of you guys must not watch the NBA regularly man.. the disrespect of some of you not even mentioning Chauney Billups. Its bad enough you're being deceived by CP3's steal totals.. but to not recognize Chauney is the best or one of the best is ridiculous..

It's not every point guard lol, just Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Aaron Brooks, CP3, Jameer Nelson, Leandro Barbosa, Tony Parker, and about 20 other guards.

Back in the day though, Fisher and J-Kidd were those point guards who would make every step the offensive player took hard.

Chauncey Billups has played 12 years of pro ball, going into his 13th.. and you're talking about him being a bigger threat in the future..

Eric Snow is a good pick too.. he was very solid defensively.

But in those times it was definitely Gary Payton.. they call him The Glove for a reason..

Yeah Snow was beast and The Glove is easily the best defensive point of all time.

I just brought up Kidd and D-Fish cause they are still in the league.
