You should go just for the chance that you'll see 10 white guys on the court at the same time.

"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.

Why play half court though if you're Chicago?

lol I was gonna make a thread. Oh well. Maybe we should have a Dunks thread?

Rose is a monster. We just need players around him...Losing Noah hurt us tonight, although I didnt expect us to beat the 'Hawks.

                    VDN is an idiot.

and this is the most inconsistant team in the NBA.. Win 5, lose 3..win 2, lose 4 ughhhh

Seeing Rose on the Bulls is like those pick-up games when you just know the rest of your 5 is a bunch of morons, and you can't wait to lose so you can get picked up by a better squad. Everybody on that team sucks at shooting, but they continue to play half-court and shoot midrange jump shots. Salmons is like that one guy who shows up to the gym drunk/stoned, won't stop rambling to himself quietly and shooting up hopeless shots.

I really feel bad for D-Rose, he's a stud obviously, seeing him against Mike Bibby was like a dog fight between one of Vick's top heavyweights and Paris Hilton's poodle Tinker Bell, poor Bibs had no shot of keeping in front of Rose.

But in the 4th quarter the Bulls just kept resorting to throwing up hopeless jumpers, and Brad Miller was worn out by that point and couldn't out jump Josh to save his life by the end of the game.

Bulls really should just tank and hope they get DeMarcus Cousins to play alongside Noah, and try to get a big time shooter or 3 in FA.

I agree 100%. Finally someone else see's what John Salmons does. He's horrible, the countless times I've watched him come down the court and chuck up a contested 3 ball with 15+ left on the shotclock is incredible.

Rose need's a scorer with him, like Bosh, Amare, Wade, or even Joe Johnson (Highly unlikely though)...If he had a player like Bosh, the Bulls would be better. Noah, Bosh, Rose, Deng and Hinrich/FA would be a pretty good team.

The SCORE sports station in Chicago was talking about this.. they said the Bulls should tank the season, rather than lose in the first or second round. But theres positives and negatives to that.. Losing out would ensure VDN would be fire, playoffs might ensure he stays.. Also losing out might make them lose out on a big FA like Bosh or Wade, where as playoffs might attract a big name, seeing thats what this team needs.

That's kind of a touchy subject with me right now. I already have severe separation anxiety from losing all of my favorite players (Vick, Andruw, Kovy) so if you could kindly not remind me that Joe Johnson declined an extension that'd be great.

As for the tank or no tank debate, I think getting Rose some more playoff experience would help, but in the end he'd just become more frustrated when the rest of his team's lack of goodness gets further magnified on a national level.

They have a crap ton of cap space and a PG anyone should be ready to play with, so they have that going for them. I just love the thought of Cousins playing in Chicago and want to see them tank.

                            BULLS win... 7 seed baby.

Rose with 24, Deng with 25.

I'm nearly convinced there are very few PG's that can hang with Rose. Kid abuses PG's.. Maybe D-will and CP3, but thats about all.

Hawks pulled away vs. Memphis tonight, thanks to a huge night from Jamal Crawfense.

Here's a recap, from my blog (link in sig)

The Hawks are looking more and more like a 4th-quarter team. Keyed by a terrific shooting performance from Jamal Crawford, the Hawks pulled away from a promising young Memphis Grizzlies team and cruised to a 108-94 victory Tuesday.

Crawford played more minutes (27) than Mike Bibby (22) or Joe Johnson (26) and flat out carried the offense for long stretches of the third and fourth quarter. It was a tremendous game from an efficiency standpoint, as Crawford needed just 14 shots to reach his 28 point total. He finished 9-14 from the floor, including 5-7 on 3-point attempts.

The Grizzlies held a 55-53 half-time lead thanks to some terrific shooting to start the game, but were not able to keep pace once Crawford got going. The 4th quarter began with the Hawks nursing an 82-75 lead, but five Hawks 3-pointers later, (four by Crawford, one by Mo Evans) the margin had swelled to 20. Curiously, Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins (I hadn’t heard of him until tonight either) waited until the 5-minute mark to call a timeout, with his team already having been buried by Crawford’s barrage. It’s no wonder why Hollins has already been fired by the Grizzlies twice before.

As the Hawks continue to take over late in games with Crawford on the floor, one has to wonder if he should replace Mike Bibby as the full-time starter. How many lackluster first-halfs will Crawford have to rescue the Hawks from before Mike Woodson recognizes that his best crunch-time lineup is also his best starting line-up?

Bibby, easily one of the worst defensive PG’s in the league, is out there for the purposes of ball-handling and making shots, and he’s just not making them. Tonight, he shot 4-9 from the floor and missed all four of his attempts from outside. Crawford’s not exactly Bruce Bowen on the defensive end either, but he at least makes up for it with his scoring.

Seeing Bibby trying to keep OJ Mayo (16 points on 7-18 shooting) out of the lane tonight was like watching Paris Hilton’s poodle, Tinkerbell, square off in a cage fight vs. one of Bad Newz Kennel’s top heavyweights.

The lack of a ball-stopper is also contributing to opposing teams’ soaring rebounding totals, as Josh Smith and/or Al Horford must leave their man to provide help on a penetrating guard.

While the backcourt defense must continue to be addressed, the reality is that a fourth-straight win is on the board, and the Hawks are keeping pace in the tightly contested Eastern Conference standings. Up next for the team is a home game with the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
