Plus Blair has Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Jefferson and other couple players who are better than him. The Spurs don't have to expect a double double from Blair every night.

The Spurs have the best depth in the NBA. Just look at the key players that come off the bench: Ginobili, Mason, Hill, Blair and McDyess. This is gonna be a tough team to beat, don't care if we play the Lakers or the Celtics.

I believe this thread was made in the pre-season. Blair has been impressive when he gets some time on the floor but that tonight wasn't the factor. Blair is a steal in the draft especially if he was a projected TOP 10 pick. Spurs really don't have anything to lose if he goes down because I believe others can take over but he does make our team better when he is out there.

Making a thread based on one or two pre-season games is about as useful as me mocking him for having one bad game in the regular season

That made no sense. So at that point he was 1/1 from the field and did his job. He only had 4 minutes then. Now he is 2/2 4 points and 2 rebounds after 11 minutes. Honestly that doesn't say anything at all. All that says is that he didn't get many touches or too much playing time. The whole thing with Dejuan Blair is that he was a great pick for where the Spurs got him. He could become a nice starter in a year or 2 and be an average player and possibly average a double double. He hasn't shown one sign of a bad game as of yet where he may go like 2/9 from the field. You can't say a statement like that after a player had limited touches. The hype is true it is just that a couple of people are taking it out of proportion.

EDIT: 3/3 6 points 4 rebounds. Yeah that is terrible for a guy picked in the 2nd round...

Griffin is expected to drop 15-20 points and grab 10+ boards every game. Blair isn't and he doesn't have to so when he gets a double-double, it's impressive especially for a bench player and being a rookie on a good team like the Spurs.

My post? My whole point was to show how his stats aren't expected to be that great of someone picked in the 2nd round so of course he isn't going to get many touches. Jesus you just reiterated what I said...

I don't think Blair will do much this year. The only way he's going to get his points is off 2nd chance points from getting the offensive board. That was the only reason he had 14 points in the opener, with 10 of them coming from 5 offensive rebounds. I agree with Archer, he's a role player and the hype wasn't necessary.
