Do you want the NBA in Europe?

    Hell no.

I don't know what the fuck he's thinking about this one.

EDIT: It's called the National Basketball Association, not World Basketball Association.

dont see it happening, bad move imo, unless it was sort of like a NBA Minor League (like the D League)

No. Unless a new faster way of overseas transportation is invented.

First there needs to be a Las Vegas, St. Louis and/or Seattle teams before the NBA even thinks about going overseas.

      Coming soon...

It's all about the money ..... they are trying to make the game bigger ,

The London pre-season game sold out in 3hours ... for a fucking pre-season game between two middle of the pack teams . I don't think it would work in the NBA with the schedule being so cluttered and being on the road every other day at times but like every sport they are just trying to expand

It's easy to say "lets keep it how it is" whenever a new idea is brought up in sports

5 years ago having regular season NFL games in Europe seemed like a retarded idea but it's doing great right now and making a good bit of $$$ for the NFL

But like I said , it won't work in the NBA imo

St.Louis? The same St.Louis that has argubly the worst fans in the NFL? The only team from there that is pulling big crowds is the Cards ..... because it's a baseball place . If they send a losing franchise to St.Louis it would be pointless

And I don't know about the NBA but the NFL is refusing to send a team to Las Vegas (or so that's the vibe when they are brought up)

And didn't Seattle just lose a team? what is this? Recycle a city? (I actually did feel sorry for Seattle losing the Sonics tho)

Or the team could be moved to Missouri and just be called the Missouri "_____". Kansas City and St. Louis combined could draw a decent amount of fans.

Also most residents of Seattle regret not supporting the Sonics enough. Within the next ten years a new team should be in Seattle.

Traveling to Europe would be brutal for American teams. Traveling across country is hard enough as it is. IMO its a terrible idea. Im all for expansion into having an NBA-Europe or something.. but having those teams actively playing in the NBA just doesnt work IMO.

Exactly ... it's not that the EU doesn't deserve a team or couldn't produce good crowds cause it could

It would just be impossible with scheduling

Meh, I wouldn't really like it. It would just mean a longer schedule resulting with more injuries.

                    1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
                    1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"

European crowds >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> North American crowds. Not even close.

Supply and demand, it isn't that hard to sell out a game in 3 hours when you rarely ever get a game. No way a franchise with any sort of tradition would go to Europe and they'd more than likely end up with a Vancouver Grizzlies-esque situation.

If it's about the money this is a bad idea. To much money lost on travel, trying to make the time zones work (there'd never be weeknight primetime game). Hawaii's football team already has big enough problems with scheduling due to things like this. Plus it wouldn't take long for an American player to flat out refuse to go over there, a lot of them already don't want to go to Canada.

Stern's hardon for Europe is annoying. Give them an allstar game once or some throwaway preseason games but thats about it.
