If Evan Turner hadn't of gotten injured he would've been a good choice for player of the year IMO... m'fer went off last night, the first half belonged to Hummel who put on quite a show but in the second half it was ET time.

          Watching 4 games right now...

-Anyone who thought Pitt was gonna roll over and die for a year was crazy. Dixon is too good of a HC for that. The Big East is so good it's scary, and this is really a down year when you look at what they lost and how young some of these teams are.

-Duke is playing well vs. BC, and Al Skinner is still ugly as hell.

-Xavier is such an underated program. Charlotte is in a down cycle, and dosent look like they belong on the same court. The A-10 is such a weird league. A pieced together mess of teams from all over the map, and you forget that teams like St Bonaventure even exist.

-St. John's is getting close to being relevent. This years team is playing with moxie, the kind of toughness you would expect from a SJU team. Cincy is Cincy. They play hard, always seem to lack the one or two playmakers that you need in the rugged Big East.

St.John's has been slowly acquiring BE talent the past 4 years. DJ Kennedy is a player.

Props to Texas and Pitt doing a great job on the road tonight.

I've never seen a season where home court has had a greater influence. Clemson is blowing out UNC as I type this, and Nebraska leads Kansas.

Iowa St physically dominated the 1st half vs Texas, until Texas went on a run to start the second half. Iowa St made the big mistake of trying to wait for the first media TO, instead of calling the TO to end the run, and it backfired. That was the turning point, as Texas never looked back, and lead by 7-10 points for the balance of the game.

                  ESPN360 is TREMENDOUS.

                    lol @ UNC

I'm telling you their guards BLOW...Strickland is the only one worth of note right now.

Ginyard and Graves are the only ones who shoot the rock to stretch teams out...both are IMO too inconsistent though...Drew does NOTHING for me.

The Big East, BigXII, and ACC are going to eat up alot of tournament slots. Some of the mid majors with tourny asperations better take care of business in their conf tourneys.

...although the Pac10 is so bad, they may only get 2 or 3 bids. If that.

UNC is terribly overrated, but then again compared to the talent in the NCAA last year every team probably seems overrated. It's a good year to be a fan of a team who might be able to sneak into the Elite 8 or F4. None of the top teams are as solid as Pitt, UNC, UCONN, Louisville, or even Nova last year.

Before I get attacked, Dante Cunningham was the best player on Nova and Dwayne Anderson's 10 ppg are gone. A bad night from outside will spell doom for the Cats.

Gonzaga @ St Mary's tonight. Joe Lunardi posting that this is the Zags toughest remaining game and also predicts the Bulldogs to lose. What a moron.

Charlotte blew Louisville out by 20 points. It took everything Villanova had to fend off Louisville the other day.

Pitt is playing surprisingly well though, cheers JD.

Aside from Louisville, they have no good wins. Lost easily to GT, Tenn, Xavier, lost to Old Dominion by 40, and lost to Duke by 50. They looked awful from what I saw last night.

Michigan State was a top 3 team in the nation at the end of the year and they didn't even look like they belonged on the same court with North Carolina.
Mich State wasn't a Top 3 team. They WERE however a typical Izzo team, turn it on in March to get to the Final Four. If you don't think Pitt could have hung with UNC last year, I don't know what planet you were on. Young and Blair would give Hans and Co. fits. Too bad Nova makes 22-23 from the free throw line and we'll never know.

Also to say they really only lost Suton is funny, he was one of their best players.
