congrats to AG, but i still think KJ should have won it... he was, by far, the most consistent player WVU had all year...

Did anyone watch the Villanova-West Virginia game? WVU ended up pulling it out in OT, but there were some VERY questionable calls at the end of regulation which allowed Villanova to tie it. Even mild-mannered Jay Bilas repeatedly described the officiating as "horrible".

Whenever I've seen Villanova play a good team, they need the refs to bail them out. West Virginia had been on a losing streak as of late, but they looked superior to Villanova.

I've always felt this way about Nova especially when they are playing at home

The late game sequence normally goes like:

Reynolds drives to the basket and a foul is called
Reynolds drives again and a foul is called
Reynolds drives and no foul is called but they call some ticky tack loose ball foul anyways

I give the guy credit for having some clutch moments in his college career but never have I seen a guy in recent history get so many late game fouls v top teams.

Also... the funniest thing about that game was Ebanks thinking his team were up one instead of tied at the end and having to throw up a half court prayer once he realized it was tied.

I'll probably check out both finals and maybe one of the late Summit games

These tournaments are working out perfectly for the bubble teams. ODU, Sienna, UNI, etc took care of business despite probably having good enough resumes without doing so. Great news for the Marquettes and Daytons and GT's of the world.
