Harrison Barnes, who some say if he came out in the 2011 draft would be #1 is expected to announce where he's going to college...it's down to Duke and UNC with ISU and Oklahoma among others for a prayer.

He's supposedly been a Duke lean but UNC is putting up a fight...this is interesting here...friday he'll announce.

He's actually dropped Duke from his list. Speculation is he dropped Duke because he's UNC bound, and he's a respectful guy and doesn't want to harbor any ill feelings between the two when he announces. Coack K has moved his recruiting priorities to Roscoe Smith.

Barnes will almost positively be a UNC commit.

That doesn't mean much of anything...I haven't heard anything of the sorts saying he dropped Duke..

I wouldn't say that Duke is out of the running (just saw Coack K here in Ames). Although Harrison was pretty upset with Coach K a month or so ago. Kansas is all but out of the running (Self made a comment about how he isn't going to watch Barne's decision). UNC might have the nudge due to Coack K pissing off Harrison a month or so ago.

My heart would love for Barnes to attend Iowa State. Unfortunately his talent would be runied by coach McDermott (if Tim Floyd or Larry Eustachy were still coaching ISU he would have committed to ISU by now). ISU has a shot (not that great) due to a former teammate of Harrison being on ISU and that coach McDermott (and his wife) are friends with Barne's family.

We shall find out in under 6 hours where HB will be going.
